Eid Picnic

On Sunday July 10, HIC's outreach committee in conjunction with IEC, JIC, the Jacksonville, Tampa, and Gainesville Shia communities held their second annual Unite for Eid picnic. This year participants had the option to pay to dunk members of the managing committees of various centers. A fierce bidding war had Inayat Walli buying his way out of the dunking, but IEC chairman Syed Yusuf was not spared. Adult participants also enjoyed playing knockerball while the kids frolicked in the jumping castles.  Food vendors served barbecue, haleem, Zanizbari mix, and biryani. Non food vendors ranged from Jafaria non interest credit union, oodh vendors, CAIR, and to Muslim Showers.
